Founder: R W (Bill) Dixon
Bill was a long-term resident and Volunteer in the Hills District who, among other things, is credited with modernising Meals on Wheels in NSW. Winner of the Senior Citizen of the Year Award and Board Member with Hills Community Aid, in 2005 Bill recognised the need to augment reduced Government Funding and, at 83 years of age, set up The Community Foundation of North Western Sydney.
He was instrumental in raising over $100,000, all of which is used to assist the disadvantaged in the community.
A Visionary, Inspirational Leader and Man of the People, Bill passed away in August 2013 aged 91. His legacy to the Community lives on in our work.
Patron: Rajiv Chaudhri
Rajiv Chaudhri was born in the backwaters of India in Cochin, Kerala, whilst his Dad, a Naval Officer was posted there as navigating officer of a ship INS Trishul in 1969. He spent the earlier years of his life in various Naval Bases across India, Nigeria, England as his Dad served there including deputation to the Royal Navy as Command Operations Officer. His Dad retired as a well decorated Commodore in the Indian Navy having fought wars over his tenure in 1961, 1965 & 1971.
Rajiv did his schooling till he was ten at various schools in India & Abroad and from Year 5 he studied in The Lawrence School Sanawar, a prestigious boarding school in the Himalayas, setup by the British Army in 1847. He graduated in Hotel Management with an honours degree in English and moved to England as a young manager at The St James Court Hotel in London, a five-star hotel with 400 rooms and 100 luxury apartments. Rajiv started his career in 1991 in London at The St James Court as Resident Manager and was responsible for the operations of Rooms Division & hosted several dignitaries from royal guests to sports celebrities & heads of state. He developed his fondness for technology & computers during his tenure there spending hours creating reports to improve upon the existing efficiency thru better ergonomics conducting time & motion studies and computing reports to confirm his findings. He became an Associate Member of The Hotel Catering & Institutional Management Association in London in 1991 Rajiv, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer & Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, became a self-styled Small Business Specialist who worked with many entrepreneurs & corporate clients providing them with valuable solutions to contribute to their success stories. He is responsible for all aspects of Hitek Australia’s operations and is the driving force behind the company’s success.
Rajiv got married and returned to India while his wife, Yujita, was completing her chartered accountancy. He setup an IT company of his own from scratch. He executed some major projects for Public Sector undertakings, Embassies, Banks, etc keeping his focus on corporate clients. He increased his team to 30 employees and set up his first Retail Store, The Computer Shoppe in a shopping centre in South Delhi. Rajiv had been closely associated with all major IT companies including Microsoft, Intel, DLink, Samsung, HCL Infosystems, IBM & attended several training sessions & technical sessions conducted by them over the years. He worked as a Microsoft Partner and assisted in several projects including the launch of msn.co.in and in promoting Microsoft gaming products thru a flagship infotainment cybercafe cum experience centre that he setup to promote the concept. Rajiv was the Founder & Managing Director of Hitek Peripherals Pty Ltd for 10 years and saw it grow from scratch to $ 300,0000.00 turnover.
Rajiv founded an export company in 1994 and exported goods to Australia, Germany & Canada.
He later co-founded & was also on the board of an excavation & mining company of 1000 employees and contributed significantly in automating their accounts & administrative function by setting up a remotely managed network centre in the mines in Orissa & Maharashtra. He also was on the board of a Limited Non-banking finance company which he founded and successfully managed. He devised a special scheme for war-widows & disabled ex-servicemen and helped over one hundred disadvantaged people providing them with a source of income though his innovative mindset.
Rajiv first came to Australia in 1995 where he helped setup a jewellery business in Seaford Victoria and spent considerable time here. He later moved to Australia as a permanent resident and joined the Nerds On Site Team and went on to be a part of the leadership team as a POD leader during his tenure of four years being the top performer consistently during majority of this period.
Hitek Australia was founded by Rajiv with a view to provide quality IT solutions to customers within the small & medium segment. Hitek Australia is a 100% wholly owned & operated Australian company formed in 2006 by Rajiv, an IT Consultant with over two & a half decades of experience working on IT Solutions within the Small & Medium Business segment across the United Kingdom, India & Australia. As a Microsoft Partner he provided computer-based IT Solutions concentrating on the small & medium Business segment in Sydney & The Hills District in Australia. The philosophy of his company is to provide IT Consultancy at a fraction of the cost of having a full-time employee on your payrolls. Rajiv is a passionate IT consultant with vast experience who has visionary skills to provide cost effective solutions to his customers.
Rajiv went thru a separation & divorce in 2008 and raised his daughter, Kanika, who was twelve, whilst he focused on his IT consulting business which he developed successfully over the years.
Rajiv has helped raise lots of money for charity over the years. He setup the Helen Keller Computer Academy in 2004 with 40 girls and the institution now has 1900 girls, in a remote Village in North India. He adopted the Constitution Hill Retirement Village of 400 families in 2010 and conducted a free fortnightly computer workshop for seniors as a social community initiative donating computers each month whilst helping them understand technology during this period. Rajiv was instrumental in raising $ 25,000.00 for the Bundaberg Floods in April 2013 and $ 25,000.00 for the Salvation Army Bushfire Appeal in November 2013. He also was a core member of the Christmas in the Hills Team that has successfully hosted the Carols at Bella Vista Farm Park raising $ 23,000.00 last year for Charities.
Rajiv lost his Dad in 2012 as he was battling prostate cancer in Westmead Hospital. Rajiv has an elder brother, Sanjay who served for twelve years as a Surgeon in the Indian Navy before leaving as a Lt Commander and moved to England where he settled as Consultant Colorectal Surgeon with his family.
Rajiv joined Alive 90.5 in October 2013 and started a new program on Wednesdays between 12-2pm called Technology Talk. On Technology Talk Rajiv spoke to professionals and business executives from various industries to identify and share how they are using technology to increase their productivity. Rajiv then gave them advice on how they can better deploy technology to work smarter. In between the talk he plays some great music to take the edge off all the jargon. He presented over 200 shows and became Chairman of Alive 90.5 for two terms bringing about a sense of professionalism within the radio station. He managed a team of 45 presenters and 150 members and improved broadcast content He upgraded the technology, relocated servers to create a more modern server room optimising space. He organised in excess of $50,000 for renovation of the radio station giving it a fresh modern look, introducing quality business shows in addition to improving the music libraries. He organised a fund raiser for the radio station and raised $ 15,000 through a trivia night bringing together various people from within the business community. He served as Chairman for two terms after which he decided to step down to focus on his robotics projects. Rajiv was instrumental in bringing in fresh sponsors and ensuring harmony within the community.
In Sept 2014, Rajiv joined the Indian Australian Strategic Alliance as its Vice President, which assisted trade and business between India and Australia. He represented a very successful Australian trade delegation with Minister for Trade & Investment Andrew Robb to India for a week-long visit organised by Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott in Jan 2015 to Delhi & Mumbai.
In 2018, Rajiv decided to offer consulting services to give back to the business community and it was in that endeavour that he joined hands with billion-dollar Castle Development Group to become their head of strategic initiatives.
In 2019 Rajiv co-founded Rediscover Living, a boutique development company which endeavours to build 61 apartments in Penrith and pursue other such projects. He is working toward launching Hitek Sports Academy later this year. Rajiv has also announced his desire to produce a sixty minute short film Scarred which will be an Indian Australian Co-production that he intends to take to major film festivals around the world. He was a key member for starting the Epping Sleepout in 2018, which is now an annual event, wherein he raised money for the foundation which was deployed for charitable projects.
He endeavours to serve the community in all future endeavours through his entrepreneurial mindset.

Gailsusan Moore, Director / President
Gailsusan joined the Foundation in 2011 and took over as President at the end of 2014. Previously to joining Gailsusan was a Branch Manager for the National Australia Bank in Baulkham Hills and Top Ryde.
Robert O’Neill, Director/Secretary
Rob is the Secretary of the Foundation. He is a practising Barrister and has been since 1975. He is also an FCPA. Robert joined the Foundation in 2011 and has been its Secretary since 2012.
Steven Pringle, Director
Steven joined the Board with a wealth of community experience and a lifelong commitment to supporting those in need.
He currently works for a local, not for profit and he has previously served the community as Mayor and Councillor of Hornsby Shire, Member for Hawkesbury in the State Parliament and Director of Community Engagement, Macquarie University.
Steven is a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Naval Reserve, serving with the Australian Civil-Military Centre, and recently was posted to the regionally important Exercise Talisman Sabre in the civil-military role.
He is committed to ensuring the Foundation makes a real difference in building community capacity and ensuring as many clients as possible achieve their full potential.
Greg Dixon, Director
Recognised as a leading “Property-To-Profit” strategist for his accomplishments in the last six (6) years as a full-time real estate investor, Greg has successfully renovated and developed for ‘profit’ over 25 properties and has transacted over 50 properties in the past 12 years using various creative growth strategies.
As his way of giving back to the society, Greg is now sharing his knowledge and expertise for building financial wealth from creative property strategies by teaching people, so they too can will benefit financially, mentally and emotionally and can create a better lifestyle for themselves.
With his father’s guidance, he bought his first property in Macquarie Park in Sydney when he was just 19. At a young age, he knew the power of a passive income and building more than one stream of income.
He started his career as a Management Trainee in 1989 and has been regularly promoted in leading management roles and then into senior management positions where he was responsible for positive business turnarounds in several large business units in a top 20 ASX Corporate Company, reporting to the CEO. Desiring more autonomy in a business he could treat as his own, he became CEO of a National Hydraulic company and was instrumental in achieving significant growth in sales and profitability.
Greg’s recipe for success is his strong interest to expand his knowledge about his passion in property investment. Greg invested on his education, he spent over $250,000 over the past 12-year period, traveling the globe and learning from the best mentors and coaches. He read every single book, attended course and seminar on Property and on Property Entrepreneurs he could get his hands on. He was determined to learn from some of the best inspirational leaders in their fields, so he would have a pool of resources to draw upon when needed.
His true passion has always been as an entrepreneur in the property field and in turn, helping other people by educating, inspiring and empowering individuals to change their lives through creative property strategies.
