Founder: R W (Bill) Dixon
Bill was a long term resident and Volunteer in the Hills District who, among other things, is credited with modernising Meals on Wheels in NSW. Winner of the Senior Citizen of the Year Award and Board Member with Hills Community Aid, in 2005 Bill recognised the need to augment reduced Government Funding and, at 83 years of age, set up The Community Foundation of North Western Sydney.
He was instrumental in raising over $100,000, all of which is used to assist the disadvantaged in the community.
A Visionary, Inspirational Leader and Man of the People, Bill passed away in August 2013 aged 91. His legacy to the Community lives on in our work.
